Day 31 : Food that trigger sun-sensitivity on our skin

It's a skin condition called as Phytophotodermatitis that happens as a result of sensitivity to chemicals in certain plants and fruits. The chemicals expose to sunlight or other ultraviolet light and trigger the reaction like itchy patch or turn to be like a severe sunburn which may turn brown immediately.

Food such as wild parsnip, wild dill, wild parsley, buttercups and citrus fruits especially limes are the food that have the chemicals that cause phytophotodermatitis. However, it is different from most other sun-related skin conditions because it is temporary and affects only on the skin layer where the chemicals touch directly.

Buttercups 金凤花

Dill 莳罗 ( a kind of spices)
Citrus fruits

Parsley 香菜
